Type of  Bridge:  Steel girder, re-enforced concrete bridge.  
Bridge Length: 52 feet, at a 17-degree skew.  Bridge Width: 17 feet  
Contract Value: $190,000.00  
Construction Time: 90 Days with a
winter shut down.  Nov. 1st, 2003-Aug. 16th, 2004.
Notable Features: The work consisted of traffic control, construction of abutments, and
total completion of the road prior to pouring of the deck and end diaphrams.  Woven wire
deadmen were used to stabilize the approaches.  Existing boulder-size rip-rap was used,
grouted, and tied to foundation and abutments with #5 and #6 re-bar.  In lieu of settling
ponds, dirt bags were used with excellent results.  All mulch used was native to the area,
and processed by means of a wood chipper.
Seven Brothers Bridge
Upham Dam
Type of Dam: Earth-filled, re-enforced concrete, and masonry stone armor.  
Height of Dam: 12 feet Crest Length: 61 feet Crest Width: 30 feet  
Contract Value: $170,000.00  
Construction Time: 60 Days- Aug. 29th-Oct. 29th, 2003, 30 days ahead of schedule.
Notable Features:-The work consisted of the following: clearing and grubbing, review of historical photos to verify locations,
dimensions, and type of dam structure from 1930's.  All field-stone was hand laid in 12 inches of grout.  Repairs included
upstream and downstream faces, crest, north and south abutments, sluiceway, and wingwalls.  Coffer Dam was jetted post;
ply wood covering with plastic overlay.
Duval Coulee Bridge
Type of  Bridge:  Pre-cast,
pre-stressed, concrete bridge.  
Bridge Length: 32 feet Bridge
Width: 28 feet  
Contract Value: $225,000.00  
Construction Time: 60 Days
June 8th -August 8th 2006

Notable Features: The work
consisted of removing the
existing bridge, installing a
bypass, and utilizing the old
bridge deck to cross the creek.
 Abutments were placed on 72
ft. H-piles, driven into bedrock.
 Rip rap was replaced with
grouted boulders.  Location
was 70 miles from the nearest
concrete plant.
