Notable Features: All utilities are in concrete duct banks.  The excavation for utilities
employed two nondestructive, high pressure water trucks to move 240 tons of dirt at depths
of up to 8 ft.  This building also required a lift station, 6 inch water main, growthchambers,
sprinkler systems, air tight rooms, and a very elaborate HVAC system.  The floors are epoxy.
 The building is controlled from remote locations through communication duct banks. This
is an insect laboratory, with many unique features.  Many atypical design challenges were
overcome to complete this project.

Completed ahead of schedule and within budget.

Notable Features: This project was our first 8(a)
solesource contract.  The open area of thebuilding has
lighting with a gravel floor.  Foundation was a typical
slab withpedestals.  Concrete floor took 140 yards.
It was poured and floated in under 3 hours

Notable Features:  Concrete
step-down foundation and
stem wall with three separate
floor elevations.  All run off
flows into a cistern located
under the building.  The work
area was limited to 10 feet
outside the building perimeter.

Notable Features: By using caissons, with square
pedistal tops, and a very
tight construction schedule, we were able to complete
this building in 26 days.  The work performed included
all rough-in plumbing, all doors,windows, and panic
hardware.
